Delbarton Dominates as NJ’s Best Clash at Catholic Duals

The 2024 Catholic Duals brought some of the best teams in New Jersey together for a high-stakes showdown, and No. 1-ranked Delbarton left no doubt about its standing atop the state. The Green Wave steamrolled through the semifinals and championship round, defeating St. John Vianney 47-17 before claiming the tournament title with a 50-12 win over St. Peter’s Prep.

With six returning state champions in the gym, the talent level was as high as ever. Delbarton’s Ryan DeGeorge (132) and Chase Quenault (138) picked up statement wins, with DeGeorge rallying to defeat three-time state medalist Patrick O’Keefe (St. John Vianney) 10-5, while Quenault edged returning state champion Caedyn Ricciardi (St. Peter’s Prep) 4-3.
